Is it just me thinking that Ham On Rye is the ugliest offering from the BSP? I'm not talking content - just the way the thing looks: the lurid colour & all that.

Hi Hannah. For books, try ebay or abebooks.com; just type Bukowski into the search engine and you'll get loads of hits. I'd suggest some early stuff. Try "Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame" - a collection of the earliest and, in my opinion, the best poetry.

I was disappointed with the cover of "Septuagenarian Stew" - it looks like the hack job of some drip graphic designer who's got 'til 5 o'clock to come up with the goods. I also have a love/hate thing with the cover of "The Night Torn Mad." Does anyone know where the photograph comes from...
