would love to cover this one with my band
I am going to see this band tonight, Plaster!
I never heard of them before, but I'm ready!
Musicians that I met last weekend. Tried to pick up a little accordion skills.
Plaster was pretty good!
this whole show is good (if you like'm)
jim morrison talks about the future of music. easy call or brilliant insight?
I think this must be the longest Stones song ever. It´s from their 1966 "Aftermath" album, and such long songs were rare on albums back then. The way Jagger sings "Going Home", starting at 4:40, reminds me of the way Jim Morrison sang "Gloria".
One of my favorite songs of the last several years.
I almost forgot about Antony.
Will it make my iPod?
First track. Second album. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celebration_Rock
Well, hooch, what do you think of it...
Interesting pitchfork review.
I like it, but it seems like more of the same. Not that the same is bad. I bought it the day it came out but I need to listen to it more.
post punk band "the sound" thank god the internet for that
The first and best german punk band ever
Have you ever had a near death experience? Today, I foolishly mixed CLR with bleach to really clean the shit out of something. It created toxic fumes that I simply inhaled. I immediately thought of this song. Go figure!
Better get ready to tie up the boat in Idaho.
I may have posted this one in the past couple of years, but I am listening to it. Diggin' those horns right after the bass/drums intro:
Boogie Chillun - John Lee Hooker
One of the first compact discs I ever owned. Mmmm - wicked.
Are they joined from the waist down?
They look it, don't they? Interesting record and backstory. That cover though.
Ron Asheton's birthday today. He would have been, if I've done the math correctly, 64.
Saw these guys play last week for a crowd of about 30 people and they tore it up. The line-up includes drums, keys, two guitars and TWO BASS GUITARS. Crazy kids these days...
This guy topped the bill first night of last weekend's Vancouver Folk Festival. Lucinda Williams (Lucinda fucking Williams!) was billed second.
He also teams up on occasion with Canada's Olympic poet.
Jesu - The Stars That Hang Above You
Track 5 on the split with Japanese band Envy.
They have been playing on my car CD player a lot lately...
Separate names with a comma.
