Why Barack Obama Reminds Me of Joan Jett, by Jackie Fuchs (née Jackie Fox), who went to law school with Obama and played bass in the Runaways with Jett. I think that's called being multi-faceted these days.
And then, a year later, Joan sicked the lawyers on Jackie. Everybody pretends to be friendly until the lawyers show up. That suit got dismissed by a judge around the time the Hollywood movie came out. Not sure how long this will stay up on youtube:
Edgeplay is a great documentary. The fact that Joan declined to participate (and then was outwardly hostile toward the project) really kind of steered it into territory that you don't often see in the typical band documentary. Not that they talk about her absence, but her absence is unavoidable and I think people said a lot of things they may not have said had she been part of it. It's a disturbing film. I just watched it again last weekend.
