    finding Bukowski @ goodwill

Lucky. I always look for Bukowski books in used bookstores or yard sales. I think people die with them and are buried with their Bukowski books, at least I think I'd like to be.

America in Panic - Michael Jackson dead

We'll all have plenty of time to think about this as it will be ALL we hear about in the next months on the radio, television, and print sources. I was wondering why I kept hearing Thriller on the radio on my commute home yesterday. I thought I'd traveled in time to Halloween.

    I Can't Write Anymore

Lolita, as a writer, I can certainly understand what you're going through in terms of creative block. Don't force it, I find that when I'm going through these sorts of things that a new way of writing is being born. Sometimes you have to let the old way die out or leave to make room for the new...

    Legendary bookstores

Ona that is an amazing story, very sad now though because Harold Norse just passed away about a week ago. I do want to read Norse's Memoirs though, going to make a concentrated effort to do so.

    De Longpre

I think that is wonderful, you SHOULD move and post on youtube like socratease said. You already have one viewer! I just finished reading "Women" and I have such a vivid sense of what went on in his apartment I'm sure any place he lived would be interesting, even the bungalow.

    A New Lurker

Reading Bukowski makes me more aware. I want to write, drink, swear, screw more. I suppose its due to all of the above that is done in his work. I'd like to think that his writing makes me more aware..makes me more free..makes things more immediate. Who knows, don't need an excuse to have fun...

    Clint Eastwood

I like cranky Clint Eastwood the best. You can't get any better than The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly...classic.

I'm going to have to get my paws on something soon, I'm suffering withdrawls! I've read "Love is a Dog From Hell" too.

    Reality bites

I like Reality Bites, seems oddly familiar with "our times." I work but I certainly am not using my degree in English (that I'll still be paying for until I'm 55). What will a movie that depicts my generation of 20 something college graduates look like..I know it'll probably take place in the...

    A New Lurker

I just call it like I see it. I'm almost finished with Women and I'm sad to see it end. I'm going to try Notes of a Dirty Old Man or Factotum next.

    Best Heartbreak albums ever...

Kind of Blue by Miles Davis, his best album and most melancholly.

    A New Lurker

Oh yes, I've seen Control. I've also seen a pretty good documentary called Joy Division which has some pretty interesting interviews and includes one with Annick Honore. There aren't a great deal of female Bukowski fans out there, I can understand why. I had to come to him a second time by...

    A New Lurker

Hi Ambreen I'm a girl. Thank you, I'm not quite sure how or why I picked that pseudo, it just sort of came to me. I love Joy Division by the way, I've only recently gotten interested in their music but I love it. Digital gets stuck in my head more often than I'd like to say.

Sure, bring drinks and we'll listen to something great. I've got good red wine, will that do? Thanks for the welcome, Nashville is a great town by the way...
