I think Bukowski would dislike your fandom as it’s tired and unoriginal. He’d probably have more respect for the gravediggers and the dead.
He might be dead but he probably still wants to be left alone. He sure did during his lifetime.

Honestly, I’m not a big beat fan (which is funny because Bob Kaufman coined “beatnik”) but Kaufman is powerful.
‘The Ancient Rain: Poems 1956-1978’ is what i’d suggest. He’s definitely got a Bukowski vibe at times but still has his own voice.
Burning in water is my favorite. It’s got everything.
War and Stew are my least. War has some real great poems and the stories are pretty good as well but overall it’s just not something I return to. Buks talk about other writers and critics gets a little old.

I'm looking to buy a Charles Bukowski broadside for my son. I don't know much about signatures and could use an experts eye.
I've looked at collecting bukowski and I'm pretty sure this is real but I'd hate to find out later it's a forgery.
