I cant find that story anymore

The only boat I remember from his stories at the moment is Factotum but don't remember the details you have included in your post.

    Amazon attempts humour

I usually do a search once a week for new Bukowski books that may come up on Amazon and then I move onto ebay...you get the picture. In between the Bukowski books...up pops this...oh ho ho Amazon...you funny fuckers! It also brings up (not pictured) lots of very unsexy self published erotica...

Bukowski, A Life: The Centennial Edition

Glad someone mentioned this, I am reading it currently. Having not previously read the other version...I am enjoying it but taking things with a pinch of salt as I often do with just about everything. Damn....I don't even trust my own memories. It is a nice version...very nicely put together.

    When did you discover Bukowski?

The first collection of poetry I read was The Days Run Away Like Wild Horses that I borrowed from someone and then I started on his books...Ham on Rye was the first and it was so brilliant and heartbreaking. I read that book a lot and Factotum!

    I need everyone’s help!

I think I would have been less surprised by life if I had read his work when I was 8! ha!

    Working

Having had several jobs in my life I am quite pleased I quit my jobs for others...variety and all that! If I stayed in one job all my life, my soul would have died by now. I have been a cleaner, a bartender, admin slave, shop assistant, tattoo studio manager, school clerk, a cake making factory...

Coffee House Blues: A New Literary Chapbook from Patchouli Press

There is no legal obligation here, people can take their poetry elsewhere if they choose, I'm an indie press not some massive corporation so I respect the author over anything here. People can do what they like with their work, it is a preference not a must but most people understand that.
