    I've been listening to the Doors again after many many years. Morrison knew Steve Richmond and I'm curious if Jim ever read Bukowski, but I haven't seen any mention of it.

    I think there's also envy in play, envy that Buk commented on in his letters especially. One of the reasons I read Buk is that is he not academic or concerned with maintaining class status.

Overall his attitude exhibits what I call 'class sniffing', that is, his main aim is to sniff out Buk's place in the American socio-economic class hierarchy in order to explain his work as a kind of slum writing...

    Looking for small press publishers

    I used a letterpress printer in my local area. Yes you are going to pay out of pocket, and have to distribute/sell them yourself, but in my experience, all went well. Also it's good to build face-to-face relationships and keep the printers in business!

    New here. I found this forum via a great article by mjp on John Martin's editing. This was eye-opening. I have a fifth-printing of Women, but there's no indication that it is the second edition (revised). How many printings did this go through, before it was released in its revised form?
