    Well, I adore Stephen King, so I'm not counter-populist. And I loathe David Foster Wallace so I'm not pseudo-intellectual. That must mean Dan Brown is a terrible novelist.

    I was going to name one of the very few Dean Koontz books I've read, but The Davinci Code takes the cake.
