What's the strangest thing that you have ever eaten?

I tried some Wallaby at a Farmer's Market Stall in Australia. Not bad, quite a tender meat. When travelling I also tried Shark, which tastes like cod, and Calmari - which is nice, but there isn't much too it. I'm keen to try horse meat.

    What are you drinking?

Budweiser is alright, but it needs a partner. I usually take a bottle of Bud with a shot of Brandy, or a Scotch. I usually sink a few bottles of beer, hit the JD and Coke when the lull comes and then finish up with a few shots for the road. I discovered Bundaberg rum when I visited my...

    Are we not fucked?

You made a point about the decline of Television, yet in the last 5-10 years, despite an influx of Reality TV and Celebrity trash vehicles we are currently going through a Golden Age of Television with numerous acclaimed dramas being churned out by networks. Maybe, just maybe there is hope for...

FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa

We (England) are a second tier International Team, don't let the hype around the Premier League fool you. I'd go as far as saying England and the US are on equal terms as far as International Football goes. I'm happy with the draw.

Relevant cultural sites to visit for Australian pilgrim

Hey thebadges, I was over in your neck of the woods a month ago. What culturally interesting places are there to visit in Brisbane? I stayed over in Noosa, so the only thing I saw in Brisbane was the airport, but next time I fly over I'd like to see some of the city.

    Ronnie James Dio Passes Away

He was a Heavy Metal singer, he was supposed to have been OTT and theatrical. For the Metal Community this is a sad loss. The one thing to lament, is that Dio's generation of frontmen are a dying breed.

    Good Documentaries

Agree on this one, a beautiful documentary that borders on the unreal.

    Most overrated bands/performers

Have you not seem Metallica live? Yeah, I take your point about 90% of their recorded output post-Burton being shoddy, but they still put on a fantastic rock show. The kind of performance that a lot of bands today could learn from.

whutz all the fuss about Radiohead?

They lost me after Kid A. I actually found Hail to the Thief and In Rainbows really hard to sit through, in just seems that the bands preoccupation with experimentation has completely tarnished their ability as songwriters.

    Coachella

Despite the backlash currently coming their way - Florence and the Machine are actually a tidy live act, so I would recommend checking them out. It's a weird festival lineup though - full of nostalgia acts living from the past such as The Specials, Sly and the Family Stone and Faith No More...
