This was the same stand he writes of. It's on Sunset Blvd just at the Hollywood/Sunset junction into one blvd. Technically Los Feliz if you're on the opposite side of the street, though the stand was considered in East Hollywood. It was about three blocks from his court.

I ripped down the clips and going to put into sequence in one movie file... I will brighten it up so it is easier to watch..will post a link when finished.

I drove by there today and the whole place is under complete renovation, including the front buk unit. they've added a new big window to the street and i just walked inside and took a few pics....the court is a nice size but they've changed the layout a bit...it has been definitely been saved...
