i actually paged thru it in the bookstore yesterday. it has an interesting letter he wrote to his family about being a pow.

ive actually read that. i was just saying besides the writing hes just like us, albeit maybe a little better at the writing part. :)

i like love hunter thompson except for the fact that he shot himself with his grand kids in the house. too bad about that

:) hes great. tokyo-montana express and revenge of the lawn are my favorites.

i love the letters about his love for his daughter too. very interesting to see/read. sort of humanizes him.

he wrote one about giving his cat cantaloupe and the cat loves it. at the end he asks, to paraphrase, 'why dont we feed cats cantaloupe more often?' i think its in revenge of the lawn, ill have to check.

anyone read any of his stuff? almost the antithesis of bukowski.
