His tire comment just made me think about things I have been reading and seeing on the internet. Like for instance new cars are going to stop having a spare tire all together. I guess that's so people have to phone for help instead.
Now I go to the grocery store and it seems that I'm being...
Oh really?
Come on, I need some thinkers here! Of course he may have not believed in that stuff, but he was trying to say something about society and what "They" are doing to it. I wonder who the "They" are he is talking about.
I watched The Last Straw a few days ago and He was talking to the audience and mentioned that '"They" are trying to make it hard for people to do anything'. Then he goes on to mention not being able to fix a flat tire and said 'Something's going on'.
Does anyone know what he was getting at...
Since I have joined I have posted now 19 times and not one answer on anything I have posted.
I was just wondering if anyone could see my posts.
I thought this was a site on Bukowski.
While I'm waiting for "born into this", I Went to the library to see what they had. Surprisingly they had a couple of first editions Untouched! I couldn't believe it.
I checked out three, "The Hunchback of East Hollywood", "Drinking with Bukowski", and "The Captain is out....."
I haven't...
Las Vegas use to be, but it's so crowded now, too much traffic, Smog, Crime, Psuedo High Rollers, No more deals, Every hotel thinks they are an Empire now, traffic, It use to have some class, but now it's like a movie set.
But I just can't get into it. I am into the 40th page and it's just not moving me. I have read "Brotherhood of the Grape" and loved it.
TRTLA just seems adolescent.
I will try to push on though.
I've heard it in Woody Allen movies, Brighton Beach Memoirs I think.
Also I have heard it in Mel Brooks movies, so it could be a Jewish term like Putz.
