    Women

After a decade of hunting for it, I finally managed to grab a 2nd Printing, Revised hardcover edition of Women, 1978 which followed right after the Martinized first editions came out. My question is how many of this hardcover were printed? The first trade edition was limited to 354 copies, then...

Crucifix / Dangling... / Screams SIGNED

While Screams is numbered, and part of the rare 50ies series of the numbered ones where Buk included drawings, I valued Dangling to be cheaper solely because it is not numbered. However, with the rare inscription present, I guess I made a lilttle bit of mistake with that.

The neutering of prose by Martin when Bukowski was alive

Based on these corrections, we should make a decent pdf out of it and print it. It would be a fucking revelation compared to what had been published.

The neutering of prose by Martin when Bukowski was alive

Tragic, senseless, stupid and offending. Is this what BSP stands for, actually? If one doesn't own real manuscripts signed by the man, nothing can be taken granted anymore. I wonder to what level Hollywood, Ham on Rye got affected by the above mentioned idiocy of George Martin. I guess this...

Getting fancy now - Signed Buk books

Thanks for the info on Serafini, never heard his name but got curious so I will check his works out. Good luck with your plan, hope it will materialize the way you'd like it to be!

Getting fancy now - Signed Buk books

Fancy indeed. Stunningly beautiful editions. Jordan! I suspected you got some rather precious fruits but some of the titles you're offering are way ahead. Thanks for the post. PS. Almost bid on the three volumes of letters upon seeing the 'Buy it Now' price of only 450 USD when I found out that...

    1981 February 2 - letter to Keyser

Thanks for telling, yes it's quite an interesting letter which understandably adds to the price but I wouldn't go either higher than $250 in this case.

The senseless, tragic rape of Charles Bukowski’s ghost by John Martin’s Black Sparrow Press

This really angers me. The more examples I see, the more it affects me in a real bad way as a fan of the man's work that must stand on its own against anyone's not to mention all of Martin's disrespectful, misunderstood views and takes. Has anyone once in this world said to him what he deserves...

New eBay listings - lotsa Buk this time!

We'll see... ;) ...but don't forget I'm actually into Bukowski, not any kind of imitation of him so in the meantime I turned to your pre-1994 books being offered to think about while considering others as well.

    1981 February 2 - letter to Keyser

Just saw this today but seems a bit pricey to say the least for a letter from '81. I am not at home with the actual worthiness of these letters, so I wonder what does this worth actually...

    Dissertation Question

As a topic, I would suggest you to look for his views on society, which is present 90% in his works and think about why he became so disillusioned with it. Read Post Office, Ham on Rye or poems, like Dinosauria, we from The Last Night of the Earth Poems and even if those parts you are going to...

Once I read it in Hot Water Music back in 2001, it still haunts me to this very day; "The only people who know about mercy are the ones who need it."

    Sandbar Sessions

In my view it is simply awful. The only worthiness is Buk in it but even his additions, together with those visuals are totally misused. I think you just don't get it.

    Buk shots...

Great post, thanks for the link! My favourite is especially the boxcar shot where Sam managed to capture him in such a dignified mood that can be rarely seen on other photos of the man. I wonder exactly how many, if not hundreds of photos were made around the time when Sam visited Buk between...
