What are you listening to? The world really needs to know. Volume 8

I saw them at the Club Flamingo in Halifax. Late '80s? Whenever "Baby Ran" was released. Good live band.

    THIS IS NOT A TEST

That reminds me of a co-worker I had years ago. We were talking about music and she said she really liked softer stuff like James Taylor. She went on to say she had seen him in concert three times. "I fell asleep each time," she said and I laughed thinking she as poking fun at herself, which...

    What Are You Reading?

It's a great book. Give it another shot. I liked it better than The Savage Detectives. But thats subjective, of course.

Somebody get grandad away from the 35mm!

I've been looking online and it's still possible to set up a very small/minimal darkroom that's relatively cheap. I'd probably be using black and white film anyway. You know, because I'm edgy like that. Very street. *eyeroll*

Somebody get grandad away from the 35mm!

I've been toying around with setting up my own darkroom ( in my furnace room). But I've been toying around with a lot of projects the past 30ish years, so...

The mystery of Jane C. Cooney (Baker)

Brooklyn, those points were raised earlier in this thread. Most likely sloppy typos. There is a society pages piece in a newspaper from 1920 having Jane hosting a kids birthday party. Seems more a thing for a 10 year old to do, rather than a 2 year old.

    A book of short stories

You don't need a reason. If you're compelled to sit down and write stories, that's all the reason you need. No, no one will read it, they certainly won't buy it, maybe some critics will give glowing reviews and your friends will say "oh! impressive" but still not buy your book, and.... sorry...
