The collected version has a better (tighter) start and title. Thanks for the chance to compare!

Buk's Love of Cats but Use of Dogs in Autographs/Art

Maybe Buk pictured himself more of an old dog than a cool cat. Like in this poem:

    RIP Johnny Winter

The contrast between those two videos is a poem in itself. With the music bridging the gap with miraculus ease.

    Good Documentaries

Enjoyed this radio-drama on BBC3 about the poet Ivor Gurney. Think Buk would have enjoyed it as well. Will have to look up his poetry after this. Have any of you read anything by hm? He wrote his first poetry collection in the trenches of WWI. Was committed to an asylum after the war and...

What are you e-reading, my e-reader really needs to know.

Having finally swallowed my pride I’ve started using a Kindle. I use it mostly for reading up on classics I hadn’t got around to yet. I also find it useful for short reading sessions, especially poems. And it gives me a fresh sense of stuff I’ve read many times before. I find reading Buk’s...

The neutering of prose by Martin when Bukowski was alive

    R.I.P. Rubin “Hurricane” Carter.

Nothing wrong with Bob using Carter's story as inspiration for a great song. It may even have helped Carter's cause, who knows... Looks like Bob's lawyers lwayered down the link to the song. No matter, here's another one: HURRICANE Listening to this album version it strikes me that the live...

This is Dylan's first live performance of the song describing the false conviction of Ruben Carter for homicide. Carter died April 21. Dylan imortalized Carter in this song: Hurricane (click)

    TV series

I like Person of Interest. Can't put my finger on why. Maybe thats the reason. The comedy Brooklyn nine-nine has been thru an impressive first season. Andre Braugher's deadpan deliveries make every episode worth it's watching.
