Elements of Fante's writing that Bukowski left out of his own

More Notes of a Dirty Old Man The Uncollected Columns - Coming September...

I usually order the book thru a creepy old Norwegian book store. (Though I do it on a cozy modern PC.) They handle all the ordering and I pick up the book at the shop postage free. Works everyt time.

You can now like the Bukowski-Society

I like. But damn, another site not in Norwegian!?! Hrrrmf. Roni: did you present your information on the "martinization" of Buk's posthumous poetry collections? And if so, how did the audience react?

Buk mss. for sale to kiss the worms goodnight

In that poem it says: I think this episode is mentioned in one of the bios as well. And I think the original line: is much better with the word "pale" in it.

    New Bukowski blog

OK, skimmed trhu the blawg, and my instincts were dead on: This was exactly what my advisor (or whatever you call it) wanted to push my Buk-study into. And don't get me wrong, me and her got, and get, along swell. It's just that her line of work on literature (Kristeva, Irigarary) bores me to...

    New Bukowski blog

Erica: Sexual poetics? :-( What does that mean? I won't say b-shit, but I'm tempted. I strongly recommend dropping the "gender studies" or "queer theory" approach to Buk's s writing. Its a dead end, a blind alley, like sucking wind thru straws. I did my own thesis on Buk's poetry and my (butch)...

An appraisal of the new poet laureate, Philip Levine, mentions Bukowski

Ahhhh, come on Hooch! He just about spit in your face, didn't he? You guys were just getting started! My take is that anyone working seriously with words will have something worth listening to, every now and then. Some try too hard and give us phrases like "their acrid bouquets." which show off...

Levi's Ad - The Laughing Heart - All the Way to the Bank

If Bob Dylan can sell cars I guess Buk (or Linda B.) can sell Levis... here it is PS: dear manuscript Gods! PLease tell me is this poem was martinized... hmmmm, it has the word Gods, in plural, in it. JM would never allow that. Their is only ONE gOD. so, I guess it isn't butchered after all.
