I was thinking about buying Septegenarian Stew or Betting on the Muse but i've heard that they are not a patch on his earlier stuff.

Seriously. Sept Stew is awesome. Worth the price for the short stories alone - let's say you get the poems thrown in at no extra charge.
Oh wait... same goes for Betting.
