Charles Bukowski - American author

I witnessed this brief conversation last Monday - when it was 80 degrees, sunny, and apparently the last day of summer. The scene was a traffic crossing on the North Side, near the lakefront. A couple had just stepped up on the sidewalk where I was unlocking my bike....

Blind Man : "Thank you so much."

Woman : "Are you sure you're OK from here ?"

Blind Man : "Aw, honey - I'm not scared, I'm just blind !"

I love moments like these. Where a city provides its own entertainment and inspiration. Hope you do too- just wanted to share.
