Been a lurker for a little while.

I'll be honest and say that I would never of heard about Bukowski if it wasn't for Modest Mouse, so I searched for some books at the library, so far I've read "mocking bird wish me luck" & "play the piano drunk like a percussion instrument until the fingers begin to bleed a bit" and I bought "ham on rye" the other week, about half way through, I also started reading a biography, it really isn't all that good, tells the same thing (and sometimes exactly) from his poetry and "ham on rye".

That is all.

Welcome, that is all,...that is the start of some real good reading, the forum like the Buk grows on you ... enjoy

Thats it, he gives references to half of the poetry and stories that he put in the biography, but then the other half is pretty much ripped from his poetry and gives no reference.

Right! Miles rely heavily on the poems in his bio. The best Buk bio so far is Sounes' "Locked in the arms of a crazy life". It's so much better than Miles'. Lots of pics too...
