Hello

I saw a TV documentary that briefly featured one of Bukowski's poems. It warned to beware of average people and their capacity for evil. I can't remember all of the poem but it mentioned average people producing average love. As you can tell, I know nothing about Bukowski, but the poem intrigued me and I would like to obtain a copy. Can anyone help?

average people are just over 5ft tall.

Well....if hieght is anything to go by!

Mind you, many Fascists, were quite small, yet certainly not average, well, if we agree that mass murder and general power wielding country building is pretty exceptional.

Perhaps I've misunderstood the whole Average man thing.

Either way, he lives down your street, I'm sure...he may even empty your garbage.

If you want to hear Bukowski reciting the poem himself then have a look on youtube, it's on there. I was surprised actually how much Bukowski stuff is on there, interviews and readings.

It's definately worth checking out.

and the best at war finally are those who preach peace"

Be skeptical of trendoids and the PC crowd. They WILL do you in.
