Awesome blog post of Bukowski quotes (1 Viewer)

That had some very funny stuff, especially the comment that is dated tomorrow by mjp. Time zone or time machine? This place has always been ahead of it's time.
I tried to leave him a message, but he'd already taken the site down by the time I'd finished typing.

At least Father L had time to invite him over to the forum.
Oh crap, I shouldn't have commented. Now the entry is gone. Oh well.

Just imagine a couple dozen "quotes" like "Change is good, but bills are better," you know, stuff that Bukowski would have never said or written, and you'll get the idea.

He took the page down.

Wonder if it had anything to do with
the comment he approved. . .

From the post seconds before it was deleted. . .

The blog owner called mjp a hit and run,
and where did he get off spewing this nonsense. . .

I'm paraphrasing. . .

So I left the comment you see above.
I read the comment. Then the poast was gone.

I attribute that to magic.

Luckily, I anticipated that he would take down the site, so I saved his page before he did.

Here's this guy's list of Buk "quotes":

Well, I heard from him.

It is all explainable, and I'm hoping he
comes by and poasts a reply.

Basically, it began as a mistake. . .
I don't get it but am looking forward to the explanation.

Is just one of these quotes from B.? I recognize none. But some could be. Like: "I don't mind Jesus; it's his fan club."

In fact, that one I like.

Thanks, but I meant, I don't get how you can post them all as B.-quotes if none of them is (?)

Wrong author name put above?

Well, the guy wrote to me, and said that he had
gotten the quotes from an unreliable source.

He got embarrassed when he found out the quotes
were not Bukowski's, and wanted people to know
that he took the page down because it seemed the
best thing to do once he actually understood that the
quotes weren't accurate.

I wrote back to the guy, he read this thread, but the letter
to him bounced. . . so. That's what I know about it all.
