Like many I thought I wanted to "live" like Bukowski but like most we can't. He's one of one. I was big fan, read most of his books, was living in LA working in Hollywood so thought I could relate to him, HA! I started going by Red's bookstore and while he was cranky he was always decent to me. I'd ask what he had, he'd show me and if I could, would buy from him. I started collecting his books, have several signed, numbered first editions, other first editions, chapbooks, signed broadsides, a signed poem, Wormwood reviews, etc. I started buying direct from John Martin at Black Sparrow and couldn't wait for the next edition. I'm selling my collection so if anyone can refer me to the place to do that, I'd appreciate it.
