Surprisingly, I think there were only three noticeable edits, one of which I probably would have made myself (unless Bukowski was trying to be really existential).
First you butcher a couple of hundreds of lines in someone's poems and everybody gets mad; then you only change a comma into a semicolon in a poem by the same person and the same folks are happy and grateful you didn't overdo it that time. :acb:
I still don't like a single character changed in anyone's (let alone Bukowski's) finished poem.
