Bukowski Quote/Excerpt ? (1 Viewer)

"And you’ll cry out my name and you’ll finally know what you should have known so very long ago"

Attributed to Bukowski, yet, I can't seem to find where the quote came from.

Any clues?

It's from a poem called "light brown" in Love is a Dog From Hell.

It ends like so:

someday some crazy son of a bitch
is going to murder you
and you’ll cry out my name
you’ll finally know
what you should have known
so very long
ago.
