anyway my name is Yesika (Jessica).
i am hopelessly in love with my dear Hank.

i started reading his poetry at a friends suggestion,
found this site and i think ive been coming to it for over a year but never joined.

anyway,
once i read post office i lost my mind over this man.
and you dont even want to know what happened once i read my favorite novel of his (Women).

i am a Bukowski fan for more reasons than his poetry
and sadly if i were around when he was
i would have been one of the chicks on his front porch waiting for him to come home


just so i could fuck that beautiful mind at least once. lol.

I'm new to the board, but not new to Bukowski.

Will I be the Boo Girl if I say that I love his words, but sexually the type does not do anything for me?

Bukowski thought that what stopped a man from grabbing a woman was consequences. The inability to get away with it. I appreciate his honesty as a writer, but that's not "hot" to me. Just saying.

I'm a wet blanket, I know. Tell me I am missing the point. Blah blah.

But I persist:
I can love a man's mind, love his thoughts on the primal drive, even be turned on by the paradox of being loved like a whore. Sometimes. But in the end, it is not how I define myself.

See- at the end of the day, this chick will punch you in the fucking nose if your hands are unwanted.

You wouldn't have to ask that if you read deeper than this thread. You're anticipating a lot of bad shit that isn't going to happen.

Which is fine. You wouldn't be the only glass-half-empty type around here by any means.

ive said plenty of times (perhaps not here on these boards) the reason why i call myself bukowski's whore is because i identify with his women. especially those he wrote about in his book called Women.

i am a bit of a nut job myself.
being bipolar and refusing to take meds.
in the past i had some terribly dysfunctional relationships
and had some insane fights with whoever i was with at the time.

in Hank i see someone who accepted his women as they came
never wanted to be the savior or therapist.
so in that...if his and i's path would have crossed
i would have loved the man with every shred of insanity i posses.

theres no need for you take offense in my own comments Lynn.
you're preaching to the wrong girl.

im a feminist on weekends and holidays *wink*
