Yep, Céline's book about a son and his father separately plotting to escape the desolation of their lives in the lurid underworld of Brazil's sex industry is definitely better than this film adaptation.
Why the eye roll for God's sake?
All I'm saying is - generally: I loath seeing a film of a book I have enjoyed.
Excuse me Dear Lady!
I DO get that the FILM is not even OF the book!
The title of the movie is the same as the title of Louis Ferdinand Céline's novel but this movie has nothing to do with Céline's book.
For a writer, I do easily confuses my words and my expression....oops!
