Dazed & Confused (1 Viewer)

I know there are some bashers of Zep here.
But I'll go on record saying they kick fucking ass.

And anyone who's seen the two DVD set entitled, Led Zeppelin, lotsa early stuff from the '70s, may agree.

As a band, they were tight. Four unique individuals who excelled in their own way "” but still managed to make it sound like one. Like a fucking locomotive heading straight through your brain, when they were at their best...

The painting below, is entitled, "Dazed & Confused."

It looks dazed and confused, damn fine work.

I was born in 73 and don't know that much about Led Zep, but like the Beatles and Stones it must have been something huge happening that probably made Nirvana look small, very small.

You mentioned " like a fucking locomotive ", that reminded me of a bar located in Bochum.
It was called " Locomotive Breath " after the Jethro Tull song.
Mid 80's and they let us punk/metal kids in.
I remember a guy dressed like Clockwork Alex walking in, it was all mixed up.
A good time.

Thanks for the kind words, Post Toxic.

The backstory is it sat live on a 40 - 50 foot stage at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino as part of a series: "The Four Horsemen of Rock."

Next to Jimi, Mojo, SRV.

Kurt was part of the show, too (70 rocker pieces). And I may, when possible, post one of him in the future.

(Hey, Mr. S., just viewed your response, thanks, bro. Appreciated.)

Growing up with older brothers meant there was not much choice but to listen to their music. Led Zep were a brilliant band. There was virtually no footage of them playing which added to their mystique and the remaining 3 keep a pretty low profile

p.s Urban myth or not? Jimmy Page once owned a house that was once owned by Alistair Crowley?

I have an older brother, too. He was into the Stones. Me, the Doors. And of course, other music, too.

But there is lotsa Zep footage, note the DVD I mentioned. Word has it, that managers used to make upcoming Rap stars watch it, to see just how tight a band could perform. I don't know if that is myth or truth, but it would make sense.

When Zep was in the pocket, they were fucking tight, spot on...

And again, personally, I dig. From pipes to lead to drums to bass. In no particular order...and Bonzo was original. Perhaps the best that will ever be. Akin to Jimi or SRV on the drums...or Mojo vocals...

Never witnessed Zep, either. But damn, would have liked to.
I *k* with your raw power thought...and the DVD aforementioned really fucking kicks.

As I've stated here somewhere before, witnessed SRV twice.

It was a religious experience. And by far, the greatest live performance(s) I've ever attended "” both times in small venues. And like the Dead, he was probably lit up like a christmas tree (on horse, not acid), according some of the shit I read; but fuck, it didn't matter.

That dog could hunt.
