I've looked for years for a poem Bukowski wrote about his old car dying. I read it once in a bookstore, then put the book down without buying it, and have regretted it ever since. I love that poem, think of it often.
If memory serves:
it was in a small pink chapbook published by Black Sparrow
it was about his old car finally dying
he wrote it as if to an old lover
there is a scene in the poem where the car is towed away.
can anyone help?
