My apologies for being deeply sarcastic. The whole 'Bandini Quartet' is worth checking out, as is most of his other fiction, in my opinion. The Road to Los Angeles is out of kilter with the other three Arturo Bandini novels though.
Wait Until Spring, Bandini; Ask the Dust; and Dreams From Bunker Hill are among the best books I've read. The Road to Los Angeles is among the worst books I've read.
