I'm sorry if this has been mentioned, I've been away.

The most
common question I
get
is
that I remind
people
of bukowski
I know.
It isn't a question.
Duh.
But
my writing
reminds them
of the Buk
I mean
huh?
It shouldn't.
I don't
write about
drinking
I don't
write about
horse races
etc., and so forth.
So there
must
be something
else
something about my writing
something about Bukowski's writing
Would my writing still seem like Bukowski's if I wrote like this, and
not
like
this?
Maybe.
Maybe using punctuation would set me apart
from
the
Buk
I have now driven through every state in America.
Well, all 48 connected states.
When I drove through Cleveland, Ohio, I thought of Harvey Pekar, and his work which he called American Splendor
The bleakness of Cleveland reminded me of Harvey.
Harvey Pekar
Charles Bukowski
Father Luke Miljevich
American Writers
None of us on MySpace
My friend Blake says that she is glad Mitch Hedberg and Bill Hicks died before MySpace.
"Can you see Hedberg or Hicks asking you to be their friend? I mean, duh. Get a life."
Thanks Blake. I love that.
Mitch Hedberg
Bill Hicks
Harvey Pekar
Charles Bukowski
Father Luke Miljevich
Crazy, Dark, Average American Heroes,
taking a casual, and an unflinching look, at everyday life
In all modesty,
I mean.
