Grand opening for Irish Charles Bukowski themed bar in New York City (2 Viewers)

I'm looking forward to reading his 7th novel (FWYLaLIKY?)!
These guys have no idea how much Bukowski loved The Big Rotten Apple. Or don't give a shit.

Yeah, but the Johnny Murray from Donegal is behind the stick. Didn't he apprentice with Reuben Rueda at Musso's? I'll be at the grand opening reading from my fave Sparrow Press books and
enjoying a quality pint of Hank's favorite Ale and playing the Guardians of the Galaxy pinball machine. Seedy underbelly rules!

Really, the best Bukowski bar is not an actual bar called Bukowski or one that actually intends on being a Bukowski kind of bar.

“We wanted to make the one in New York stand out as the type of place the author himself would frequent if he was still around,” said Maguire.

Great job, guys, really.

So someone is now editing John Martin's life's work too :)

Anyway, I remember that poem Bukowski wrote...

Approved by the Guinness Corporation

of all the bars
I chose the one with live Rock 'n' Roll music, barbeque dinners
and scented floral garden

to have my name upon that bar
I mused
that is the dream

One of the owners actually reached out to me for Buk artwork. He was intensely interest for 2 days, then I never heard from him again.
