am a long-time fan/reader of Bukowski. was turned on to him back in 1982/1983 by a very smart friend. my first book? Notes Of A Dirty Old Man. at that time, had never read anything like it. i grew up a nice girl from the suburbs of LA. a nice girl who'd never read a book like that before. but i did. and i loved it. so i read more. Post Office, Ham On Rye, Women, etc.
just watched the Bukowski documentary tonight on Showtime. realized, that i hadn't read any Bukowski in a long time. found this website, and have made a promise to myself to read him again.
