My name is James Lashing. I first read Bukowski around about the time of his death and have read all of his books many times. My favourites are Post Office and Factotum. I havent read much of his poetry as I struggle with poetry full stop.
In real life I am a failed (but published) screenwriter and deserter from The French Foreign Legion. I have spent the last year and a half living in a mental institution in the east of England as I have PTSD.
I am on loads of pills that have flattened out any creativity I may or may not have or have had.
I am currently trying to get two novels published, one of which is most certainly influenced, in part, by Bukowski. Short chapters. Clean breaks.
