Hello everyone...
Finally I have found the way how to write you all....

I have heard about charles and his raw beauty a lot but never really read him
so i just came to check some of his poems here
and what i found was 5 min ago was "a smile to remember"
and wow thats something
studied and read a lot of literature but never ever heard something so really
incredibly pretty and tragic
as margaret atwood says its not discomfort its pain
the realest thing

Welcome to the forum, Iveta! There are lots of Bukowski poems here for you to enjoy. You should read some of Bukowski's novels too. You won't be disappointed!

I will try to use punctuation a apostrophes ever since.

Maybe I've just been under the wrong impression that I should do some sort of
"spontaneous writing" here....

But you are right your Buk is much wiser that all those superspontaneous beats... ;)

But I'm afraid my English is forever incorrect here and there, since it's not
my first language....

Welcome Iveta. You are just beginning to discover Bukowski and you are in for a treat. He was a writer like no other.

Just out of curiosity, what is your first language ?

It's Slovak.

I know about the love that is a dog from hell. /At least I know about the title./
I hope to get at least some of those short stories soon.
To purify my English....and to check if the meant dog breed is corgi :)
/I quess it's quite probable, as corgi is usually short and strong/

Of course I don't I don't mean it literally...anyway I'll try to find out what kind of dog Buk's love is...

Considering Buk's love for his old fatherland, I would guess it's a German Shepherd...:p

I used to think that tough German Shepherds are for the policemen and chic chihuahuas are for Britney and posh ladies...
But you make me look at the dogs from entirely new perspective...
Maybe they are somewhat sad, poor and fragile just like the skid loves....

What about Rhodesian Rigdeback....
They very rarely bark, but when they do, the sound is something special...

Bukowski loved cats. Correct me if I'm wrong. Dogs love you no matter what. Cats love you at their convenience on their time. You have to work for it.

WTH is that thing you are pointing at those fine dogs?

I was chatting about metaphor in the title of the book "Love is a dog from
hell"....what might be the dog breed

I am pointing at ridgebacks because I have read that they can bark
in a very special, very impressive way....
...that they don't bark a lot, but their voice is something really special....

The voice of love that is "the dog from hell" might be very special too.
Though, in some pictures, it might look like a beautilful, fine thing, something to match your swimming pool and flowers...but there's something unexpectedly strong in its sound...

...of course I don't mean ridgeback is "a dog from hell".
But maybe they've got hell of the voice....

Actually, I have never heard them barking myself....
Please tell me how is it like/ correct me if I have put it all wrong....

Still I guess I should read the book first and then discuss the metaphor in the
title...I swear I'll do...

This ancient Greece legends petshop is a great idea....
Or is it a Roman things...

I could put "beware of the dog" signs with this pic on some mysterious door....
...to match with those Dear sir/ No visitors door plaque of yours
