Great letter. One word sentence, two word sentence, two three word sentences (one with a comma). A masterful colon, equally masterful ellipses. Transition from 'it's all survival' to 'i'm still noticing beauty' to 'we're not dead yet.' a damn hero. I'm not saying that anybody who uses these tools of writing is a hero, but to see the tools used so well means a lot. Love that he calls himself a sharp when clearly and refreshingly, he's unhesitatingly putting his cards right on the table.

I love the forthrightness of this letter too. But isn't the term actually "pool shark" ? Maybe it's changed over time or varies from region to region....

I think it's "card sharp" and "pool shark." But one probably derived from the other anyway.
