Longshot Pomes ad

Bukfan

"The law is wrong; I am right"
Quite an ad indeed! 12.000 copies sounds VERY excaggerated. It's one of the weirdest and funniest ads I've ever seen. :D
Thanks, cirerita...

Okay, printed, signed. Where do I send my buck?? :D

To Ralph Reed, apparently. ;)

Yes, it's a dated reference, I know; he was head of the Christian Coalition in the 1990s.

Gotta go wash my hands now. How very Pontius Pilate-esque. ;)

I love how they call him "Charlie" and spelled "Pomes" as "poems", which we ALL know is completely wrong!

They were only off by 11,800 on the number of copies. Maybe wishful thinking. ;)

Wouldn't that be a pisser if 11,800 of those showed up in some boxes in the corner of a dusty old warehouse somewhere? I wonder if that would affect the value...

Certainly one of the best ads I've seen in quite some time. Fun stuff right there. Thanks cire!

...but there is genius in their hatred
there is enough genius in their hatred to kill you
to kill anybody
not wanting solitude
not understanding solitude
they will attempt to destroy anything
that differs from their own
not being able to create art
they will not understand art
they will consider their failure as creators
only as a failure of the world
not being able to love fully
they will believe your love incomplete
and then they will hate you
and their hatred will be perfect

It would drop them to a ebay sell price of about $25 each and even then it would be tough to sell one at that price. I'd buy a dozen just as an investment, but would end up selling them one at a time for what I paid for them.
