Following up on the post here, here is the rest of the unpublished/uncollected from nyq 55.
One note, the poem listed in the database has "fame" in Open All Night, p. 325. Actually the nyq 55 "fame" is printed in The Flash of Lightning, p. 252, as "fame at last".
And the last poem from nyq 55. I'm sure someone will go all pdf on me. Big files done at 200 dpi each. Still getting used to a new scanner and even newer photoshop. New to me anyway.

In the first stanza Bukowski goes second person at the ninth line -- "you answer the questions" -- and continues to the end of the stanza -- "where was that whore when you were...." -- while the "editor" in Flash changes it to first person, "I". Better? Consistent? Made it past Packard's editorial scrutiny back then.
And the last stanza is altered from "nobody knows what it's like to/be alone" to "doesn't anybody else realize what it's like to/be alone at the/top?" That change seems quite unnecessary.
