Sam Cherry has died

Hi,
Sad news out just arrived that Sam Cherry passed away yesterday. I'll provide info on services as I hear them.

He was born in 1913, so that would have made him about 96 years old.

I just saw him a couple weeks ago in Santa Monica. He looked --- really old.

Sorry, that's cold. He seemed like a fine gent. But 96 years? That's enough. Easy now Sam Cherry. Easy now.

That's sad. He had a wild and interesting life, as far as I've read.

At least he was able to experience his latest exhibition. Musta been a good feeling. I guess it's easier to say goodbye, when you just had a fair exhibition going at age 96.

Really old is a good thing. He was very happy at the show and was actually quite alert considering that guy with the beret kept flashing pictures of him.
96 is way above average.

I saw that show on opening night at Track 16, it was one of the highlights of my trip to LA
