I went to see Cypress Hill's 20th anniversary show at the Troubadour Saturday night. I nestled up to my usual stage right and against mjps fine wisdom, held my iPhone up taking video most of the night. Slash came out for the last few songs and it was odd to see the reaction from the place. Maybe not so odd, the reaction was greater than Cypress Hill got all night. Exciting to see him there. I've seen Guns N' Roses probably 10 times back in the day, but never at the Troubadour or any other place so small.
I left thinking GNR probably could have been really great.
P.S. I cannot believe the quality of the iPhone video camera, it's insane, the sound just as good. It loses some quality over to youtube, but still good.
