This is weird.

This post says it was purchased at a mainstream UK bookstore:

But it looks almost like a casebound (no dust jacket, printed cover) hardcover - by Ecco. So maybe they are releasing hardcovers? Anyone in the UK seen these?

Weird binding. Looks almost one-off, but it came from a big chain store...

Hi! I am the owner of that blog, and the owner of the book :)
The book looks like that because I had the covers laminated. It is one of the books I KNOW I will carry with me whenever and wherever I move so I thought I should treat it properly by making the covers stronger.
