I know this won't appeal to all on here but for any fans of football / soccer, The Blizzard is a fantastic publication run from a small office in Sunderland. And I say this as a Newcastle fan. It's available via hard copies or, if you prefer, digital subscription too. The ethos behind the project is to utilise some of the best writers on the beautiful game out there by allowing to write about anything they like, so long as it's about football. Contributors include the likes of Tim Vickery, Sid Lowe and Simon Kuper. Issue 7 is out now but the first 6 are still available. The articles include some fiction, thoughts on the state of the modern game and the historical developments that have shaped the sport internationally. I would also add that I have nothing to do with this but I certainly wish that I did have.
