yeah, that's a great one!
Am downloading it right now. Not that I wouldn't have the original DVD, but wanting everything in my archives, I couldn't resist. (You should download it too, as you never know how long things like that stay on youtube. - keepvid is a fine site for that.)
I had a smart-ass response ready, like, "Did you forget to look on Amazon?" but I see it's only region 1 (why the hell would you do that on an independent release?), so carry on.
But the rest of you in the U.S. or Canada, it's less than $10, so buy it. Throw a bone to the guy who went out of his way to make it available to you.
I just checked the DVDs of "The last straw" and "There's gonna be a God damn riot in here!" (Bukowski in Vancouver) in my computer and the discs are not locked to region 1, both are region free.
Unless mondayMedia changed their authoring on later copies they should all be region free.
that's exactly what they are.
the 200 people at amazon may not have the time to look close to their billions of items. Or the guy who wrote that was simply a moron.
no problem regarding any region, my dvd player can play, or at least it reads region 1, thing is Amazon charges twice the shipping price to Mexico... so i think i'm getting one at a local record store, i just checked in for a copy.
Watched last night. Thanks for the headsup D.Lizard! Owned this on bootleg cassette for many years and have it basically memorized but seeing Buks reading for the first time was magical. That ladder in the background is tremendous!
I understand the appeal of getting things for free, I do. But the people who bring us this kind of thing should be rewarded. The less support releases like this get, the fewer of them we'll see in the future, right?
