Hi, I'm looking for a quote that I vaguely remember from a Bukowski story I read a long time ago, and no longer have the book, or remember what story it was.
Possibly, he was working on the railway or subway, and was afraid of getting electrocuted from the rails. At some point he complains (and this is the quote I'm looking for) "Did Cervantes have to do this" (Or something along that line. Comparing himself to a famous writer that didn't have to take a lousy job to pay the bills and could just write).
