A friend read me a Bukowski poem awhile back which I've been looking for ever since. I've lost contact with this person, and have searched the internet to no avail.
What I can recall from the poem is that it had Bukowski talking about how people lose themselves, specifically this one man, then he looks in a mirror, seeing the man he's been talking about, ending with the line, "where did I go?"
I appreciate, and thank anyone who could assist me.
