    OLE 3 Variant Cover

It is unusual. My guess is that he created a few potential covers. I got it with some interesting copies of OLE 1 that have art by Blazek on the inside rear cover. I also have figured out that there was no color printing of OLE 1. Any color you see on a copy is hand-colored, like the third pic...

They'll keep you busy for a while, don't worry.

    The Buk Shop

Thank you. It's just fun to look at it. I've always loved looking at the early periodicals on the Verdant Press site: https://verdantpress.com/checklist/charles-bukowski/contributions-to-periodicals/

Bukowski by Taylor Hackford - documentary download

One of the moderators should post this somewhere for permanent reference. No more shitty video or sound. KCET published their original version and it's as crisp as it gets:

    The Buk Shop

After months of cataloging, The Buk Shop officially opens Friday April 5. 2024. As the name implies, The Buk Shop is solely focused on Charles Bukowski, featuring signed books, manuscripts, broadsides, chapbooks, drawings and paintings, films, readings, and magazines. I’m not exaggerating in...

    "People run from rain..."

The boards he used on those early books were incredibly thick too. Earth 2 almost feels like a folio of broadsides, but they are all bound. Different colors, sizes, paper, etc.

    When did you discover Bukowski?

I saw Barfly at a friend's place at age 22 and bought "The Most Beautiful Woman in Town" the next morning. The elderly female proprietor said, "What a beautiful title." Little did we both know...

    Hello from Tokyo

Welcome. I love the graphic design and craftsmanship that the Japanese publisher has done with Bukowski in recent years. A friend sent me Pulp and it's really cool.

a lady with some French wine

I just obtained this one. I'm going to pair it with a copy of The Cruelty of Loveless Love because it appears to be (quite obviously) about Joan Gannij. Not that it needs confirming from the references, but Gannij also put a book of poems out in 1982.

Earth 2: God I Got The Sad Blue Blues and I Am Read To remain uncollected. It measures a ridiculous 14" x 8.5" for it's time...
