    Sunlight Here I Am

Oh but Hank loved humor, and you "know" this.

    Sunlight Here I Am

I read it last month, great find if you like interviews of Hank; which I most certainly do. Some of the questions are repetitive but then that's to be expected. Hank, as always is brutally honest and intentionlly abrasive, LOL!

Bukowski by Taylor Hackford - documentary download

Thanks from me as well. It's footage I've never seen.

How would Bukowski reply to this questions?

"To jack-off in bed alone and type a good page"

Which do you prefer: Bukowski poems, short stories, or novels

For me, it would definately be his poetry. It's what he loved most and consequently, I think it's where his genius really shines through. The massive insight that he shares in some of his short poems is really quite extraordinary.

Short Film - "You & Your Beer & How Great You Are"

My review: (In my raspiest, self important sounding Brooklyn accent) Ya good kid, but you ain't da champ yet. One night of boozin' with a camera don't make you a Mr. Bukowski film director. Hey, for what it's worth, the movie wasn't so bad an it's a damn shame you didn't have you none of...

Ten year drunk/on the bum - fact or fiction?

I think you're mostly likely, possibly right about a lot regarding the 10 year drunk with that caveat that I think it unfair to comment during the points in time where there was not enough data to get a sense of what Hank was up to. That's just the good ole argument from silence. I'm also...

Stallone says Bukowski "was an old drunk"

I hear Stallone is a grammy award winning singer in North Korea. He's practically a household name there.

    Steve Richmond

A guy with his habbits... I think he went the distance. I'm sorry to read he checked out.

    Buying books from amazon

I'm especially with your recommendation with regards to 'You Get So Alone..' and Amazon also sells used books in great condition (if you shop carefully).

    tales of ordinary madness

I've got to say... I guess I'm in the minority of people who enjoyed it. I've seen Barfly and Factotum and prefered it to both (Bukowski must be rolling over in his grave). It's not that I think it was more accurate since it's my contention that none of the Bukowski films were accurate on some...

    Yet another Bukowski loving schmuck

Hi everyone, I'm originally from NY, I've lived in NJ for a couple of random years and now I've migrated to FL to stay closer to the sunshine. My first exposure to Bukowski was some random poem a friend recommended I read; I think it was Dinosauria, We. In any case, after looking up Bukowski...
