It didn't occur to me during this past year that it's been 70 years since Bukowski's first real publication (Story, 1944).

If we try to forget the 15 years of posthumous Black Sparrow collections, that's still 55 years of good stuff. ;)

It's testament to his work ethic that we will see new collections next year and into the near future.

Just wanted to say that before 2014 ends and it becomes 71 years.

And didn't Buk write somewhere that he didn't own a copy anymore of Story, (late forties), or was that portfolio?

o, you're right! Everybody was so occupied by thinking about his 20 years being dead, that we missed this aniversary. Now, a toast to it!
