Fish Woman

Hi Everyone! I joined the forum because I was looking for the name of a writer who wrote a book of short stories, one of which featured a woman who shrinks her fella and then uses him as a dildo. I read the stories over 30 years ago and forgot the name of the author. I now know it was in fact the GREAT BUKOWSKI so it's off to Amazon for me to get a copy of 'the most beautiful woman in town'. I can't seem to close my acct here so maybe I'll come back and discuss after I've read it - does this book also include the story of the woman who absorbs her husband because she is in fact, a FISH!?

Welcome! I don't recall the fish story either. But there is a story called "The Copulating Mermaid of Venice, California." Maybe you're thinking of that one? It's here: Mermaid

Sadly no! That is definitely not the story I had in my mind - I am very clear that in the story I read, a man is absorbed by a woman who is actually some kind of fish - I have googled repeatedly and nothing is coming up - I wonder whether the story came from an anthology by various writers although memory has it that there was only one author - quite frustrated now - Rekrab have you read all of Bukowski's short stories?

I've read most of Buk's stories except obscure, uncollected ones that appeared only in magazines and newspapers. But I'm not great at remembering stuff I read long ago.
