I’m trying to find out more about a Bukowski poster connected to the Maro Verlag anniversary (1985), and I can barely find any solid information online.
Here’s the translation of the info card that came with it:
“Bukowski wrote a congratulatory message in 1985 for the 15th anniversary of Maro Verlag (the publisher that had brought Bukowski to Germany) — including his famous little Bukowski drawing. Buk also sent video greetings to the founder of Maro, Benno Kaesmayr. Here are two screenshots from the video, where the original of this poster can still be seen hanging at Bukowski’s place in San Pedro.”
Does anyone know if official reprints of this poster were ever made? Mine doesn’t really feel like a typical print, but I’m not experienced enough to judge it properly, and I can’t find reliable references.
Would it make sense to contact Maro Verlag directly, or does anyone here have background knowledge about these anniversary pieces?
