It was a purple end page. I recently purchased Red's remaining Bukowski items from Red's grandson, Matt. It was like unboxing the shop itself. Lots of little things that seemed important to him and other big things that people who visited the shop would know. Like this photo.
It was also little things like him adding entries into the BSP Buk calendar that he hung on the wall:

Red took this photograph. Robert Crumb used it to create a drawing of Bukowski. It was issued as a print by Jeffrey Weinberg of Water Row Books. It was also used for the cover of “Charles Bukowski: A sure Bet” by Gerald Locklin, also produced by Water Row Books.
